How much powder fits in a sachet?
4 to 12 g, depending on the bulk density of the blend. A FIZZPHARMA sachet is 50, 55 or 60 mm wide and 60 to 110 mm tall, so a dense blend and a light one reach different weights in the same sachet size.
Tell us your serving in grams and the blend you have in mind; the sachet size follows from them. A serving above 12 g goes into a doy-pack, compared further down this page.
Which powders suit a private label sachet?
At FIZZPHARMA the single-serve powder pack is the sachet, with your brand printed on the laminate and an entry point of 300 kg.
A sachet suits a powder taken as one exact dose, with no scoop, carried in a bag, or sold as a multi-day pack. The paper layer is your print surface, so the sachet is also the label. Electrolyte formulas are on electrolyte effervescent tablets; whether an electrolyte formula suits a sachet is confirmed in our reply.
What is the minimum order for powder sachets?
From 300 kg of finished blend, counted by weight. The number of sachets follows from your serving: 300,000 g divided by the grams per sachet gives 75,000 sachets at 4 g and 25,000 at 12 g, before filling losses.
Powders in zip-lock bags and jars start from the same 300 kg, and a repeat order carries the same minimum as the first. FIZZPHARMA gives the sachet count for your powder and serving in its reply, within 24 hours, Monday to Friday. All minimums: minimum order and lead time.
How long does a sachet order take?
From 4 weeks, on a ready-made formula or your own; transport and customs come on top.
The sample and your approval of the sample and of the label artwork come before production. A change to the formula after approval means a new sample, so settle the serving and the flavour before the artwork is final.
What is the sachet made of, and where does my brand go?
A three-layer laminate: paper outside, aluminium foil as the barrier, sealable film inside. Your brand is printed straight on the paper layer, which makes the sachet its own label.
The paper weight of the laminate is the second thing that moves the price, after the formula. The plant prints the sachet, and the carton too if your sachets are sold in one. The price for your powder is given in our reply once the formula, the serving and the laminate are fixed.
Can I put a ready-made powder into sachets?
Yes; which of the ready-made formulas suit a sachet is confirmed in our reply. The plant's list holds more than 500 ready-made formulas in production, with new ones added every month, and a ready-made formula is available to other brands as well.
For a formula of your own, a sample is developed to your brief first, you approve it, and the serving is settled with it. A formula developed to your brief is made for your brand; the terms are set in our reply. Electrolyte formulas are listed on electrolyte effervescent tablets.
Sachet, jar or doy-pack: which pack fits my powder?
The way the dose is taken decides. A serving closed on its own goes into a sachet, a serving measured by the scoop into a zip-lock bag or a jar, a serving above 12 g into a doy-pack, and an effervescent tablet into a tube.
| Your dose | Pack | Minimum counted in | Read more |
|---|---|---|---|
| One serving, closed on its own | Sachet of 4 to 12 g, printed for your brand | Kilograms, from 300 kg | This page |
| A powder taken by the scoop from a larger pack | Zip-lock bag of 450 g, or jar of 900 or 1,800 g with a scoop, at a 30 g serving | Kilograms, from 300 kg | Minimum order and lead time |
| A single serving above 12 g | Doy-pack (stand-up zip-lock bag) | Kilograms, from 300 kg | Minimum order and lead time |
| An effervescent tablet | Tube of 20 tablets of 4 g with a desiccant cap | Tubes, a low minimum | Effervescent tablets in tubes |
| A drink cube | Each cube sealed in a blister of its own | Set for each product, in cubes and boxes | Drink cubes |
What your choice decides
Your serving, your formula and your market fix part of the order. The table shows what each costs you in run size, time or risk, not in money.
| Your choice | What changes | What it costs you |
|---|---|---|
| Your serving in grams | How many sachets 300 kg makes: 300,000 g divided by the serving | Run: a smaller serving gives more sachets to sell within the shelf life |
| A formula of your own | A sample developed to your brief; the formula is made for your brand and the terms are set in our reply | Time: development before production. Risk: the serving, and with it the sachet count, is known once the sample exists |
| A heavier paper in the laminate | The second driver of price, after the formula | Price: given in our reply once the laminate is fixed |
| Artwork prepared with you, or your own | The artwork is prepared with you, or you bring your own, and the plant prints the version you approve | Time: one approval round before print. Risk: new text after approval means new artwork |

What shelf life do powder sachets have?

A CoA and a specification, after laboratory control of the batch. The plant is ISO 22000, GMP and HACCP certified, and FIZZPHARMA sends copies of the certificates with their numbers on request. For export it also arranges a Certificate of Free Sale and a Certificate of Manufacture, with an apostille and consular legalisation where the country of sale asks for them. More: certificates and CoA.
Can powder sachets be halal certified?
Yes. When your market asks for it, FIZZPHARMA arranges a halal certificate for each batch of your product. Either a certifying company visits and issues the certificate, or an auditor attends the production of the batch.
Do you ship powder sachets outside the EU?
Yes. FIZZPHARMA delivers worldwide, EXW by default, with FCA or DAP on request. Your importer files the registration in the country of sale, with the specification, the CoA and the plant certificates from FIZZPHARMA.
