How does private label supplement manufacturing work?

The plant makes the sample, you approve it, and then you approve the label. Production starts only after both approvals, and it takes from 4 weeks for effervescent tablets and sachets.

What is the difference between white label and private label supplements?
White label is a ready-made formula, taken from the plant's list and sold under your label. Private label is a formula developed to your brief for your brand. A ready-made formula is also available to other brands, while a formula developed to your brief is made for your brand.
More than 500 ready-made formulas are in production, with new ones added every month, so a white label start needs no development stage. A private label start begins with a sample developed from your brief, which you approve before the label.
Do I need my own formula for private label supplements?
No. More than 500 ready-made formulas are in production, with new ones added every month. The effervescent range includes Vitamin C 1000 mg, Vitamin C + Zinc, Multivitamins, Magnesium + vitamin B6 and Calcium + Vitamin D3. Name the category, the serving and the country of sale in your brief, and our reply confirms which formulas fit.
If you want a formula of your own, FIZZPHARMA develops a sample from your brief. You approve it, and the formula is then developed for your brand.
Can I get a sample before I order?
Yes. For a ready-made formula you receive a sample of the existing product. For a formula that does not exist yet, a sample is developed to your brief, as a project of its own. The terms for the sample are given in our reply to your brief.
The sample is the first of your two approvals. The second is the label artwork, and production starts after both.
Who designs and prints the label, the tube and the sachet?
The plant does, or it checks the artwork you bring. FIZZPHARMA designs your label and packaging or checks yours, then prints everything itself: the tube, the carton, the pouch and the sachet. The brand name and the logo are yours.
How your brand appears on each pack:
- Effervescent tablets. Your brand is printed on the tube, which has a desiccant cap. See effervescent tablet tubes.
- Drink cubes. Each cube is sealed in its own blister; your brand is printed on the blister foil and on the outer box.
- Powder sachets. Your brand is printed directly on the paper layer of the three-layer laminate, so no separate label is needed.
Label rules differ by country, and your importer confirms the rules of the country of sale. Name the country in your brief before the artwork is laid out. Packaging of your own can be used on request: send its specification with the brief, and the plant checks it for suitability for the line.
