What is in one vitamin C 1000 mg effervescent tablet?
One 4 g tablet carries 1000 mg of vitamin C, which is 1250 % of the nutrient reference value. That dose is the one in the catalogue entry of the formula. The specification that comes with the offer adds the excipients and the flavour.
| Per tablet (4 g) | Amount | % NRV* |
|---|---|---|
| Vitamin C | 1000 mg | 1250 % |
*NRV = nutrient reference value, Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011, Annex XIII, Part A.
What does the label of this formula need to carry?
A single-nutrient tablet keeps the label short, and four points still need a decision before the artwork is final.
- Article 6 particulars. Directive 2002/46/EC, Article 6 sets what the pack states: the name "food supplement", the category of nutrient that characterises the product (vitamin C), the recommended daily dose with a warning not to exceed it, a note that supplements do not replace a varied diet, and a note to keep them out of the reach of young children.
- One percentage. Article 8 asks for the amount per daily dose and as a percentage of the Annex XIII value in Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011. Against the reference value of 80 mg, a tablet of 1000 mg reads 1250 %, and the daily dose you recommend decides the figure that is printed.
- Sorbitol. The base is sorbitol, so the polyol rule is part of the check: when added polyols make up more than 10 % of the product, the label states "excessive consumption may produce laxative effects" (Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011, Annex III, point 2.4). The specification of your formula settles whether the line is needed.
- Maximums by country. The EU has not harmonised upper limits for vitamins and minerals in supplements, and several member states set their own (Article 5). Your importer holds the vitamin C figure against the market, with the specification and CoA from FIZZPHARMA at hand.
Can the formula, flavour or pack change?
Yes. The first route needs no development: this ready-made formula is open to other brands, and nothing has to be developed before production. Another vitamin C dose, or vitamin C with further nutrients, is built from your brief as a sample. You approve the sample, then the label, and a formula developed for your brand is made for your brand. Either route takes production from 4 weeks.
The flavour is part of the specification and the sample shows it. FIZZPHARMA packs effervescent tablets in a plastic tube with a desiccant cap, because the formula reacts with moisture. Your artwork goes on the tube. effervescent tube packaging explains the pack, and effervescent tablets in tubes sets out the general terms.
Which documents come with this formula, and where can it be sold?
Once the laboratory has checked a batch, FIZZPHARMA issues a CoA and a specification for it. The site holds ISO 22000, GMP and HACCP certificates, and copies with their numbers go out on request. Export papers are a Certificate of Free Sale and a Certificate of Manufacture. Destinations that demand it also get apostille or consular legalisation.
If your market asks for halal, the certificate is arranged batch by batch for your product. A certifying company visits, or an auditor attends the run. Goods ship worldwide, EXW unless FCA or DAP is agreed. At the destination your importer files the registration, using the specification, the CoA and the certificates from FIZZPHARMA. Frequently asked questions
What does one vitamin C 1000 mg effervescent tablet contain?
A FIZZPHARMA tablet of 4 g on a sorbitol base holds 1000 mg of vitamin C, which is 1250 % NRV. Excipients and flavour are listed in the specification that comes with the offer.
Why does the label show 1250 % NRV?
The reference value for vitamin C in Annex XIII of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 is 80 mg, and 1000 mg divided by 80 mg is 12.5, or 1250 %. The label states the percentage for the daily dose you set, so the figure moves with that dose.
How many tubes is the minimum order?
Low, and counted in tubes. A reorder starts from the same quantity as the first order. FIZZPHARMA gives the number for this formula in its reply, sent in 24 hours on working days.
Can I order vitamin C in a different dose?
Yes. FIZZPHARMA develops a sample to your brief, and after you approve the sample and the label the production runs from 4 weeks. For vitamin C with zinc there is a ready-made formula, vitamin C 1000 mg with zinc 15 mg.
Which flavour does the tablet have?
Flavour is a line of the specification, and the sample of this existing product shows it. A different flavour goes into your enquiry, and FIZZPHARMA sets out what can be done.
Can another brand buy the same vitamin C formula?
Yes, FIZZPHARMA offers a ready-made formula to other brands as white label. A formula built from your brief is made for your brand.
How long do the tablets keep?
FIZZPHARMA's standard shelf life is 24 months, confirmed in the CoA of each batch. Transit and customs use part of that time, so count back from the date the tubes should reach the shelf.
Can I get a sample before I order?
Yes: FIZZPHARMA already has the formula in production, so you receive the finished tablet. Your order goes into production once the sample and the label are approved.
