What do the two nutrients add up to per tablet?

Per 4 g tablet the formula gives 1000 mg of vitamin C (1250 % of the nutrient reference value) and 15 mg of zinc (150 %). Both doses are those of the catalogue entry. Excipients and flavour appear in the specification that goes with the offer.

Per tablet (4 g)Amount% NRV*
Vitamin C1000 mg1250 %
Zinc15 mg150 %

*NRV = nutrient reference value, Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011, Annex XIII, Part A.

What does the label of this formula need to carry?

Putting a vitamin beside a mineral gives the label two nutrient lines, and each line is judged against its own reference value and its own market rules.

  • Article 6 particulars. Besides the name "food supplement" and the recommended daily dose, Article 6 of Directive 2002/46/EC calls for the categories of nutrients that characterise the product (vitamin C and zinc), a warning not to exceed the dose, a statement that supplements are no substitute for a varied diet, and a statement that they belong out of the reach of young children.
  • Two percentages. Article 8 wants vitamins and minerals declared per daily dose and as a percentage of the Annex XIII values of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011. Vitamin C is set against 80 mg and zinc against 10 mg, so one tablet reads 1250 % and 150 %, and your recommended daily dose moves both figures.
  • Sorbitol. Because the tablet sits on a sorbitol base, check the polyol rule: more than 10 % added polyols in the product brings the statement "excessive consumption may produce laxative effects" (Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011, Annex III, point 2.4). Whether it applies to your formula is settled with the specification.
  • National maximums. At EU level the maximums for vitamins and minerals in supplements remain unharmonised, and several member states apply national ones (Article 5). Both nutrients can have national figures, so your importer checks both against the market, using the specification from FIZZPHARMA.

Can the formula, flavour or pack change?

Yes. Other brands can buy this ready-made formula too, and it enters production without a development stage. For a different zinc dose, vitamin C alone or a third nutrient, FIZZPHARMA builds a sample from your brief. You approve the sample first and the label second. A formula developed for your brand is made for your brand. Production takes from 4 weeks on both routes.

Two ready-made neighbours already exist: vitamin C 1000 mg alone and vitamin C, zinc and vitamin D3. Flavour belongs to the specification, and the sample shows it. The tube with a desiccant cap stays the pack; see effervescent tube packaging. The terms shared by all tablets are on effervescent tablets in tubes.

Which documents come with it, and how does it reach the importer?

Each batch leaves with a CoA and a specification, written after the laboratory checks. The site's ISO 22000, GMP and HACCP certificates are available as copies on request. For export, FIZZPHARMA prepares a Certificate of Free Sale and a Certificate of Manufacture. If the importing country requires it, apostille or consular legalisation is added.

On halal, the certificate is arranged per batch of your product, through a visit of a certifying company or with an auditor present at production. The default delivery term is EXW, with FCA or DAP when agreed. Registration at the destination stays with your importer, who files it with the specification, the CoA and the site certificates. Frequently asked questions

How much zinc is in a vitamin C and zinc effervescent tablet?

Each FIZZPHARMA tablet of 4 g carries 15 mg of zinc beside 1000 mg of vitamin C. That is 150 % of the reference value for zinc, which is 10 mg in Annex XIII of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011.

Does a formula with two nutrients need two labelling checks?

Each nutrient is stated with its amount and % NRV per daily dose. Each is also checked against national maximums where the market has them. The importer does the check; FIZZPHARMA supplies the specification and the CoA for it.

What is the minimum order for this formula?

A low number of tubes, with reorders starting from the same quantity. The figure for this formula comes in the FIZZPHARMA reply, which is sent in 24 hours on working days.

Can I have only vitamin C, or add vitamin D3?

Both exist as ready-made formulas: vitamin C 1000 mg and vitamin C, zinc and vitamin D3. Any other combination is developed from your brief.

Which tube and which closure does the tablet use?

FIZZPHARMA packs twenty tablets into a plastic tube closed with a cap that holds a desiccant. The formula reacts with moisture, which is why this pack is used. The tube carries your brand.

How long does production take?

Production at FIZZPHARMA takes from 4 weeks for the ready-made formula and for a formula of your own. Transport and customs are added afterwards. The run is released once you have approved the sample and the label.

What shelf life can I print on the tube?

FIZZPHARMA's standard is 24 months. The least stable ingredient sets it and the CoA of each batch confirms it, so the date on your pack follows that CoA.

Can I get a sample first?

Yes. FIZZPHARMA has the formula in production, so the sample is the finished tablet. You can judge flavour and appearance before you commit to an order.
